Farouk Janeman to be honored by Fiji FA in IDC

Fiji Football Association will be honoring the late Farouk Janeman also known as the ‘Cunning Fox’ in his playing days during the 75th Courts Inter District Championships in at Lautoka’s Churchill Park next week.

Janeman passed away on Friday September 27, 2013 and was laid to rest on Saturday afternoon.

Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel said,” “Janeman is irreplaceable”.

“He was a legend by all means. As a player and later as a coach he has contributed a lot to football.

“He had a wealth of knowledge which Fiji FA wanted to utilise for the further development of football in the country but it is sad to learn that he is no longer with us,” he said.

The legendry Janeman was re-appointed by the Fiji FA board of control in 2011 to take charge of the football development in the country.

Meanwhile, the Courts IDC kicks off at Lautoka’s Churchill Park from the 9 to 13 of this month.
