In line with the Fiji Police’s efforts of improving its services and operational effectiveness, a decision has been made to re-introduce the sky-blue uniform.
This is also in line with the Commissioner of Police’s concept of oneness and wellness.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the intention of re-introducing the sky-blue uniform takes into consideration the issue of climate and demands of the nature of work officer’s are faced with.
“The uniform is pro-operational because it’s light and visible and also very user friendly for our officers who are out patrolling the streets and will harmonize the work we currently undertake,” Naisoro said.
The remainder of the current uniforms will continue to be in use however for different purposes.
Members of the public will notice the re-introduced uniforms in their respective divisions over the coming weeks.
