Fiji Water Centennial International 7s Draws

The Fiji Rugby Union has today released the draws for the Fiji Water Centennial International 7s.

The draws see the inclusion of two top local 7s teams, Westfield Barbarians and Wardens who have been invited to play in the two day tournament.

The two teams were chosen based on their achievements in the local 7s tournaments this year.  Westfield Barbarians have won four tournaments, the Nawaka 7s, the Marist 7s, the Taveuni 7s and theWadigi 7s. They are currently the defending champions for the Vatukoula 7s.

The Wardens have won one tournament, the Vutia 7s but were semifinalists in the Nawaka 7s, and featured in the finals for the Marist 7s and the Wadigi 7s against Westfield Barbarians.

The tournament kicks off on 4 October with USA meeting Argentina in the first match at 9am. In the Oceania 7spool, Cook Islands will play against Papua New Guinea at 9.44am.

Two winners will be crowned at the end of the tournament with one being the Oceania 7s winner and the other being the Fiji Water Centennial International 7s winner.

The two day tournament will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
