FIJIAN PRIME MINISTER ARRIVES IN MOSCOW

CAPTION: Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama arrives in Moscow for Russia state visit.

Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama arrived in Moscow this evening (early morning today-Fiji time) kick-starting his state visit to the Russian Federation.

The Prime Minister is leading the first Government delegation to Moscow, designed to boost trade and investment opportunities.

The head of government was received by the non resident Ambassador for the Russian Federation to Fiji, His Excellency Mr Vladimir Morozov and senior government officials that overlook Asia Pacific Affairs.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister for Defence Mr Joketani Cokanasiga, the Minister for Youth & Sports Mr Viliame Naupoto, the Director for Immigration Mr Nemani Vuniwaqa, the Acting Solicitor General and Acting Permanent Secretary for Civil Aviation Mr Sharvada Sharma, the Chairman for Investment Fiji Mr Truman Bradley, the Commander for the Fiji Naval Forces Commander John Fox as well as Fiji’s non resident Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mr Isikeli Mataitoga.

The head of government will meet his counterpart later today (Fiji Time) at his residence outside Moscow. Both leaders will discuss ways to strengthen relations between both countries.
