FIJIAN PRIME MINISTER CONGRATULATES NAURU ON NATIONAL DAY

Hon. Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency Mr Baron Waqa, on the nation’s 47th anniversary of Independence.

In his message, the Prime Minister extended well wishes on behalf of the Government and people of Fiji.

Prime Minister Bainimarama said that Fiji and Nauru, as neighbouring Pacific Small Islands Developing States, have enjoyed cordial and meaningful relations with each other in various aspects of cooperation.

“I am confident that the affectionate relations that our two countries share have strengthened in recent years in mutual recognition of the potential of joint solutions for the emerging challenges ahead, as we unite in ensuring a more resilient Pacific Community,” Prime Minister Bainimarama said.

“We can both look forward to the prevailing goodwill at all levels of our two societies to further flourish as we consolidate our existing partnerships in the sustainable development of our people”.
