The Prime Minister Hon. Voreqe Bainimarama will lead a State Visit to the People’s Republic of China next week where he will hold talks with senior government officials and senior officials from China’s private sector.

The Prime Minister’s visit will reciprocate the visit to Fiji in November last year by China’s President, H.E Xi Jinping, who led a high-powered delegation to Fiji and held successful talks with the Fijian Government.

On this State Visit next week, Prime Minister Bainimarama will once again hold talks with President Xi and hold separate bilateral talks with the Chinese Premier, HE Li Keqiang.  Agreements relating to trade and cooperation will be signed during this visit.

While in China, the Prime Minister will visit a number of other cities and meet with potential investors as well as those that already have business operations in Fiji.

The visit to China will also be an opportunity to begin preparations for this year’s 40th   anniversary celebrations marking diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Bainimarama will be accompanied by senior Government Officials and senior officials from the private sectors who will hold separate talks with their Chinese counterparts.
