Fiji’s Minister for Tourism, Industry and Trade Hon. Faiyaz Koya said the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Investment Fiji will bring a fresh perspective and help achieve Fiji’s potential as an investment destination.

In announcing Mr Godo Muller-Teut as the new Chief Executive Officer of the statutory body, Minister Koya said; “He brings in a fresh perspective to Investment Fiji and the focus is on a high performance team and enhancing exporter capabilities.”

“We are also looking at him to create a governance structure with the prime focus to attract FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) and he is the right person for the job,” Minister Koya said.

Mr Muller-Teut said Investment Fiji had been doing a fantastic job in the past and he would build up on what has been created and to work together with the Minister to move it forward.

Investment Fiji executive chairman, Mr Truman Bradley said the board had undergone an extensive selection process where local candidates were first considered and then they moved overseas when no successful candidates were found.

There were 45 candidates initially and it took the board close to a year to fill up the post.

Mr Muller-Teut was born in Germany, raised in Singapore and educated in the United Kingdom where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies and Master of Science in Service Management from the University of Buckingham.

Prior to this appointment, Mr Muller-Teut worked at the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
