Four men charged with abduction and rape remanded in custody

Four men including an assistant head teacher of a Primary School who have been charged with abduction and rape have been further remanded in custody by the Labasa Magistrates Court.

Three of the accused are alleged to have abducted and raped two students during a drinking party on the 15th of March in a house in Taveuni.

The two students are in Years 12 and 13.

The day after, the fourth accused who is an assistant head master is alleged to have abducted and raped the Year 12 student and gave her $10.

Police say the information of the alleged incident was reported through Crime Stoppers and was investigated by Taveuni Police.

They will reappear in court on the 26th of this month.
