Celebration of colors is around the corner, with the strong significant of Unity and Brotherhood, the Indian Cultural Sub- Centre Lautoka, High Commission of India will be celebrating Holi Milan at the Girmit Center, Lautoka on Friday 22nd.

Holi celebration is nothing new to Fiji; it has been an ongoing event for as long as Fijians of Indian descent have prevailed in the country.

The festival which people usually see it as the sprinkling of colors on each other and is a culmination of fourty-days of singing Faag (a devotional form of singing in groups) actually shows the breakage of all barriers of discrimination so that everyone looks the same and universal brotherhood is reaffirmed.

The festival signifies the victory of good over evil and there are many ancient stories found about it in the Hindu holy scriptures.

This event will take place at 6 in the evening.
