Originally from the United States of America, Liz has over 13 years of management and leadership experience in financial inclusion and international development work in both the US and in Asia.

“I am delighted to advise that Elizabeth Larson has been appointed and started work as PFIP’s Results Measurement Advisor. Liz joined PFIP on Monday, March 3, 2014,”said Regional Financial Inclusion Advisor andProject Manager for the Pacific Financial Inclusion Programme Reuben Summerlin

Many of you may know Liz from her previous position as the Asia Regional Manager of Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX) where, among other roles, she managed annual and quarterly data collection from 450+ microfinance institutions across Asia on social and financial performance for MIX Market’s global benchmarking database.

She has frequently written articles, led training and presented on financial inclusion data collection, analysis and communication.

Prior to working for MIX, Liz worked for OXFAM America managing an agriculture and livelihoods portfolio in East Asia, and for Mercy Corps in Asia and the US, where she focused on start-up microfinance technical assistance, strategic and business planning, monitoring and international information flows.

Liz has a Master’s degree in International Studies with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon, where she also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant  and Overseas Program Coordinator.
