Katrina Kaif was spotted in a freak-out mood with her little fans at a special screening of the 3D live action-animation flick, Main Krishna Hoon, in a Mumbai multiplex on Tuesday.

Dozens of underprivileged children from the NGO Asha Kiran watched the film with Katrina, and were seen excitedly jostling to interact with the superstar before and after the show. She also broke into an impromptu jig at one point, even as the young brigade matched her moves.

Katrina’s involvement with the film happened because it is co-produced by her hairstylist Promila Hunter. The actress has pitched in with a cameo in the film and has helped the makers rope in good friend Hrithik Roshan for a special role, too. Katrina has also agreed to help promote the film, and Tuesday’s screening for the children was part of the effort

Pretty in a deep tangerine blazer teamed with casual white shirt and black trousers, Katrina looked dressed for bonhomie. Quite obviously, the bachcha party seemed more energised by her company than the idea of watching the film.

Main Krishna Hoon is directed by Rajeev S. Ruia, who made the My Friend Ganesha trilogy of animation films for children in the past. While Katrina’s role in the film is being kept under wraps, she reportedly essays the human incarnate of Radha.

The film stars Juhi Chawla and Rajneesh Duggal in lead roles and the makers have created a very special appearance for Hrithik in the film. Both Katrina and Hrithik readily agreed to do their cameos in the film when approached without even reading the script, according to the makers.

Bollywood stars have been known to be encouraging when it comes to helping their staff members realise celluloid ambitions. If Katrina has offered to help her hairstylist without charging any money for it, last year Kareena Kapoor made a brief appearance in the Chinta ta chita song of Rowdy Rathore because the film was co-produced by her stylist Shabina Khan.
