The Fiji Roads Authority has advised that the Koronivia Bridge on Koronivia Road, Nausori, will be closed to all traffic at 6pm tonight but is currently open to only light vehicles.
This follows an incident this morning where damages were sustained to the bridge by a bus travelling onto the bridge.
The FRA assures the public that buses will continue to service the area from both sides of the bridge and their contactors Fulton Hogan Hiways will carry out urgent repair works this evening.
The travelling public using the route are advised that a full closure will take place from 6pm tonight and it is expected to reopen by midday tomorrow.
The authority apologies for the inconvenience this emergency closure may cause.
