MEDIA RELEASE : MINISTER LEADS FACT FINDING MISSION TO AUSTRALIA Suva, March 22 – The Honourable Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou is currently leading a fact finding mission to Canberra, Australia. The visit is part of the Ministry’s efforts in partnership with the Fiji National Sports Commission to establish the country’s own Institute of Sports. The delegation will visit the Australian Institute of Sports in Canberra to discuss ways to effectively implement sports development programmes through the setting up of a premiere sports institution in the country. The visiting delegation will also meet with the Australian Minister for Sports Honourable Sussan Ley to discuss areas of mutual interest between the two countries. Accompanying the Honourable Minister is Ministry of Youth and Sports Permanent Secretary Mr Josefa Sania, Executive Chairman of the Fiji National Sports Commission Mr Peter Mazey and Senior Sports Officer Sitiveni Rokoro.
