MINISTRY CALLS FOR SERUA AND NAMOSI TO REGISTER WITH NEC

The Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations is providing the people of Serua and Namosi an opportunity to register with the National Employment Centre (NEC) for possible employment in New Zealand under its Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) Work Scheme and other foreign employment opportunities.

As of  today (9th February 2015) registration will be conducted two (2) days a week and will be held at the Provincial Administrator (PA) Serua’s Office in Navua. Registration days are, Mondays and Fridays from 8am – 4pm.

Minimum requirements for registration are a Fiji passport valid for at least 13 months, one (1) current passport-size photo, one (1) original birth certificate and one (1) photocopy.

The Ministry is urging community members of Serua, Namosi and neighbouring communities to take advantage of this opportunity. The target group for this opportunity are unemployed persons.

The NEC is liaising with all Provincial Administrators to facilitate registration in all districts.  Details shall be released shortly.

Employment Creation Reform initiative through the Ministry of Employment, is part of Government’s commitment towards the vision of fostering the participation of Fijian workers as partners, with businesses and government, to foster economic growth and the development of Fiji.

The aim is to reduce unemployment and to alleviate poverty.
