MISS WORLD FIJI FINALISTS BEGIN THE “HARD WORK”

Ten finalists in the Miss World Fiji competition met in Suva this weekend to begin doing the “hard work” in preparation for the final crowning to be held at Pearl South Pacific on July 26.

Andhy Blake, who is mentoring the finalists, said that the girls were shown the proper way to walk as a model, with proper posture, in high heels.

“What they are learning are the same things the Miss World entrants are learning in the 136 countries they will be coming from to compete.  So while we are preparing them for the Miss World Fiji competition, we are also preparing the one to be crowned to challenge for the Miss World title.

He said that there would be further courses covering topics like proper speech, makeup, hair styling, and fashion.

“What they will learn will not only help them in the competition but will be something they can take with them for the rest of their life,” said Mr. Blake.
