Lutua was overwhelmed at the signing ceremony and said she had never dreamt that she’ll get a personal contract.

“I’m honoured and I would like to thank Digicel for considering me to become a brand ambassador. I never dreamt that I’ll be able to land a personal contract,” said Lutua.

“This is a big step in my netball career and I’m delighted to take this new opportunity, which I think will boost other players in the national team.”

Digicel Fiji’s Head of Marketing, Ms. Sheryl Singh was happy to see Lutua become, now the only female in the male dominated brand ambassadors list for the company.

“It’s great to have Maria on board and I’m sure she’ll enjoy her term as a brand ambassador,” said Ms. Singh.
