The Motibhai Group through its subsidiary Waqavuka Development Company Limited trading as PROUDS is pleased to announce the opening of its new Departures and Arrivals store at Nadi International Airport.
The all new PROUDS Duty Free spans over 950 square metres of the ultimate travel retail luxury in the International Departures Lounge and Arrivals Hall resonating the modernized Nadi International Airport, a testimony of Fiji’s commitment to world travelers for excellence in luxury retail standards and service.
The injection of new life into the International departures lounge reflects renewed confidence in Fiji’s Duty Free and Travel Retail sector with PROUDS at the forefront of showcasing its world-class stores.
Architecturally designed by world renowned firm Architectus, the new stores has seen an integration of Fijian design elements with a contemporary retail approach.
Motibhai Group is proud to confirm that over 80% of the all new PROUDS Duty Free stores are Fijian made, demonstrating the capabilities of skilled local Fijians in achieving and executing construction of international level design.
Whilst the all new PROUDS Duty Free stores will be in operation from hereon, further accents to the stores will be completed by mid-December bringing the total investment of both store fixtures and fittings and stock to around seven million Fijian dollars.
“The all new PROUDS Duty Free stores are architecturally designed reflecting international trends in luxury travel retail with the hope that a traveler will feel as though they are in Sydney, Dubai or London. We have brought luxury retail of the World to Fiji,” said PROUDS Director Tejash Patel.
The all new PROUDS Duty Free is an illustration of the Motibhai Group’s depth of experience in Duty Free and Travel Retail markets. Year on year, PROUDS has continued to raise the industry bar to all new levels of achievement – now including a regional PROUDS with the recent opening of its new Duty Free outlets at Jacksons International Airport in Papua New Guinea – extending the PROUDS footprint to the greater Pacific Region.
PROUDS has had a long standing portfolio of internationally recognized luxury brands married with local Fijian brands which has seen the store develop hand in hand with Fiji’s booming tourism industry.
The all new PROUDS Duty Free stores have been applauded by the traveling public, it’s the satisfaction of Airports Fiji Limited’s Executive Chairman who commended the manner in which PROUDS adapted to the new Airport environment after months of planning and hard work.

Mr Khan went on to say that the amount of effort that has gone in can be just seen in the results of the finished product which is totally amazing.
