Outrigger on the Lagoon · Fiji housekeeping department celebrated a special day on Friday 18th October, in recognition of their contribution to the success of the resort.
One of the largest departments at the resort with 140 employees, the housekeeping department is responsible for the servicing and cleaning of rooms, resort public areas and the laundry.
Executive Housekeeper Tepola Natadra said the day is important to acknowledge the hard work, team work and dedication of the staff.
“Our department works on the ethos of team work and consistency. Today is a day for the managers and supervisors to thank our staff for their faithfulness to their work, the resort and to each other as a team”, Mrs. Natadra said.
Outrigger on the Lagoon · Fiji resort manager Russell Blaik said the housekeeping department is the back bone of any resort.
“We have an amazing housekeeping team. They are passionate about their work, they are consistent and most importantly they are loyal to each other as a team”, Mr. Blaik stated.
“Today is the resorts way of saying thank you to our housekeepers and attendants for a job well done and to encourage them to continue with the great work that they do”, Mr. Blaik added.
The housekeepers were treated to a morning tea with the executive chef’s choice of pastries.
