Ba wins 17th CVC title

BA won their 17th Pillay Garments CvC title thumping Suva at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Smarting from their 1-0 first leg win, the Ba side showed no mercy on the Capital City boys as they had a commanding 3-0 lead at the break before running away with a 5-1 win.

Goals for Ba were scored by Malakai Tiwa, Maviliko Nakama and an own goal by Suva skipper Simione Maikali in the first half.

The Men in Black started the second half as they did the first spell scoring early again.

Avinesh Waran Suwamy made it 4-0 before Nakama scored his second for their five goals.

Replacement Semi Rokoqica scored the consolation goal for Suva.

Ba walked away $4000 richer while Suva settled for $2000.

Meanwhile, Ba made three changes from the team that lost to Nadi 0-1.

Abu Zahid and Malakai Lavetia were relegated to the bench with Avinesh Waran Suwamy and Tuimasi Manuca in the run on team.

A suspected injury to Roneel Kumar forced nippy Meli Codro to make the starting line-up. Kumar was on the bench.

Suva retained the team that beat Rewa 1-0.
