Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will relinquish his position as the commander of the military in a handover parade and celebration on Wednesday, March 5 in Suva.
The handover was initially postponed due to bad weather experienced throughout the country this week.
“Due to the improved weather condition all invited guests are advised that the postponed Commander Republic of Fiji Military Forces Handover Parade and Celebration will now be held on Wednesday 5th March 2014. Timings and venue remain the same,” a government statement confirmed.
