The Fiji Police will continue to issue the advice however the onus is on individuals to exercise care.
On the same note the Fiji Police would like to acknowledge the assistance and cooperation of nightclub operators over the past week.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said that they had received information of minors wanting to enter the nightclubs however vigilance by security personnel saw thorough checks conducted whereby patron’s identification cards were first sought before entry.
While there was an assault case received from a Suva nightclub, the security personnel managed to contain the incident removing both parties from the premises where they were posing to be a threat to other patrons.
Meanwhile, a 32 year old man was produced at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday charged with allegedly assaulting another 32 year old man in a Suva nightclub over the weekend.
