The Fiji Police will continue to reiterate the need for people to have a sense of responsibility when consuming alcohol. There are consequences to everything we do and a person’s ability to control their actions is clearly affected when they are heavily intoxicated.

The reason as to why we continue to request for people to adopt a change of mindset is based on what we have witnessed when families suffer the loss of a loved one. A few hours of enjoyment can turn to a life time of regret and this has been the case for many who have been caught on the wrong side of the law in liquour related cases.
