Two Fijian Nationals in Kiribati alleged drowning case victims
Police have received a report from the Operations Manager of the company based in Suva regarding the two crew members who are believed to have drowned near Phoenix Island Reef in Kiribati.
Liaising with Kiribati authorities to get an official response regarding the matter needs to be done in order to determine the definite cause of the accident . The vessel is still outside of Fijian waters .
ACP Henry Brown has confirmed that Kiribati authorities will not be able to comment further on the issue until an official correspondence is sent for liaising purposes.
