POLICE NOTE INCREASE IN THEFT CASES

There in an increase in theft and people are been advised to secure their properties at all times. Yesterday a Primary School teacher’s laptop and her hand bag went missing from her table sometimes after school. She left her laptop and her bag on her table inside her classroom and went out for a brief moment, returned and discovered the items missing.

Also yesterday at Vakabalea, Navua, a 21 year old farmer woke up and discovered that his car had been broken into. Items removed from his car have a total value of $240.00.

Also in Navua yesterday, a 30 year old man woke up and discovered that his washing machine had been stolen along with some clothes which was hanging on the line. A total value of all the items taken is estimated to be around $775.00.

People are advised to secure their properties while at home and especially before they go to sleep.
