The Fiji Roads Authority is advising commuters that use the Mara Road crossing at Raralevu in Nausori that it will temporarily close one lane of this road, beginning this evening at 9pm.
The authority has advised that while this closure is only temporary and expected to be for a minimal period, it regrets the inconvenience this may cause for commuters and motorists.
The closure is to allow the Water Authority of Fiji to excavate and lay pipes below the closed lane.
The FRA maintenance contractor Fulton Hogan Highways will work closely with the WAF and ensure that road conditions return to normal once works are complete.
Works are expected to complete by Monday, the 27th of this Monday.
