RSMS defeat Gospel in round 2 of Suva Secondary Schools’ Cricket Tournament

Ratu Sukuna Memorial School (RSMS) has trounced Gospel High School in round two of the Suva Secondary Schools’ Cricket Tournament this afternoon.

After winning the toss, Gospel elected to bat first and were bowled out for 29 runs in the 13th over.  With the ball, Esaroma was the best for RSMS, taking 4-4 off three overs, while with the bat, Tevita Tefiti top scored for Gospel with 11 not out.

In the second innings RSMS easily reached the winning target, hitting 31 runs in three overs.  Although they lost no wickets, one player had to retire injured, securing a nine-wicket win for RSMS.  Akaripa Tuinasau was the top scorer for RSMS with the bat, with 14 not out.

The competition will continue next Tuesday afternoon at Albert Park.
