Looks like its exciting times for Fiji Rugby.
With a brand new line of sponsorship worth millions of dollars over the next five years, more good news follows with the announcement of a special deal with our national carrier – Fiji Airways.
In a statement released to media a while ago by Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO Stefan Pichler, our boys are all set to fly high with national pride onboard Fiji Airways to their future outings worldwide.
“Fiji Rugby now takes flight with Fiji Airways and the entire team at our National Airline is thrilled,” Mr Stefan Pichler said.
“We’re delighted to partner with Fiji Rugby ! As Fiji’s national sport, rugby is part of our national psyche – as is Fiji Airways. That is why we are only too happy to support our national team which is so close to the hearts of all Fijians. sponsorship deal with Fiji Airways.
“It’s a matter of great excitement for us. We are able and ready to promote one of Fiji’s greatest assets- it’s rugby players – and this will also benefit Fijian tourism.
“Our sponsorship agreement gives us rights over the national 7s team for the popular Wellington, Hong Kong and Gold Coast 7s tournaments, as well as engaging with our partners throughout the rugby season. We plan to use this to boost our profile in key tourism source markets. By doing so, our goal is to increase visitors to Fiji, directly contributing to Fiji’s economy,” Mr Pichler concluded.
