Schools’ Cricket taking over Suva!

Ratu Sukuna Memorial School (RSMS) and John Wesley College have both recorded wins in the Suva Secondary Schools’ Cricket Tournament today.

On ground one John Wesley College faced Gospel High School.  John Wesley posted a massive 1-136 off their designated 20 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 62 with the bat from Fiji Under-17 and Under-19 representative, Saimoni Tuitonga.  In reply Gospel were bowled out for 19 runs, handing John Wesley a nine-wicket win.

Over on ground two, International Secondary School batted first against RSMS, and were bowled out for 33 runs in 11 overs.  In reply RSMS hit the winning score of 35 in five overs to record a four-wicket win.

Tomorrow the Suva Special Schools’ Cricket Tournament will commence when Suva Special School play Hilton Special School at home, with play commencing at 1pm.

The Suva Secondary School Girls’ Cricket Tournament will also continue at Albert Park.  On ground one team one from Lomary Secondary School will play Adi Cakobau School, whilst on ground two Lomary’s team two will face team two from Gospel High School.
