SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARDS TO FEATURE KEY NOTE SPEAKER

 

 

The Service Excellence Awards 2013 that will be held this Friday 18 October will feature keynote speaker Mr Antonius Tanan from Indonesia.
Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is the Chief Guest for this event.

 

Mr Tanan who is the President Director of the University of Ciputra Entrepreneurs Centre in Jarkata arrives into Suva this evening and will be accompanied by his colleague, Mr Ivan Sandjaja.

 

Mr Tanan is also well renowned for his beliefs in fostering entrepreneurship to raise the prosperity of people.

 

He is expected to meet relevant Ministers, Senior Government Officials and those involved in promoting entrepreneurship this week.

 

Mr Tanan will also be meeting with heads of tertiary institutions and will speak at a public forum on Entrepreneurship organized by the University of the South Pacific tomorrow.

 

He holds a Master of Art in Educational Psychology on Gifted/Talented Education from the University of Connecticut, United States of America.  Mr Tanan also holds a Master of Science in Urban Development Studies from the University College of London (UCL), United Kingdom. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Indonesia.

 

Mr Parmesh Chand, Permanent Secretary for the Public Service said that Fiji was fortunate to secure the availability of Mr Tanan to visit Suva to share his knowledge and expertise.

 

“He is highly recommended and we are pleased that the Fiji Embassy in Jakarta was able to convince him to include Fiji in his Programme.  The sharing of information and knowledge will benefit those who are interested in entrepreneurship and business as well as those who are already in this important field,” PS Chand said.

 

Mr Tanan will conclude his 5 day visit and return to Jakarta on Saturday, 19th October, 2013.
