In April, the NGO, Stay Connected Fiji entered into a Community Partnership with Lautoka Delana Primary School, one of the pioneer primary schools in the city.

Through this partnership SCF seeks to fulfill one of its key objectives which is to partner with stakeholders to build sustainable livelihoods.

On 19th April, Delana Primary School received donations of library books, educational DVDs and Games, Sports Gear and student backpacks from Connected Inc. in Brisbane, Australia.

The donations were made possible through SCF’s alliance with Mrs. Annie Simpson of Brisbane, who arranged and sponsored the container that brought in the donated items and relief supplies for communities in the west that were effected by TC Evans in December 2012.

The partnership between SCF and Delana Primary School has also provided an opportunity for several students of the school to receive sponsorship of fees, uniforms and stationery for 2013.

The Delana School Committee and Management are grateful for the donations received and acknowledge the value of partnership.

School Head Teacher Mrs. Sekinoco advised that community partnership is one of the four pillars of the school’s Mission and is optimistic that through partnership with SCF, the school would be fullfilling  this goal.
