THE interest to participate in the Digicel Suva Volleyball League continues to grow every week with the inclusion of two more teams.
Last week, the Lami-based Inner Circle Club registered a women and mens team to take the numbers up to 22 for the mens’ competition and three for the womens.
Suva Volleyball officials say the inclusion of more teams now means that all teams have to put more effort into their pre-competition preparation as they now will play 5-6 games every Saturday.
“Well we promised all teams if you join the Digicel League you will get ample game time tohelp build your players skill level and confidence,” said SVA’s Viliame Katia.
“This would also help us gauge who our top players are for the national competitions and is the best way to also prepare them.” This week the Celtics from Tamavua will be challenging the Marist team for the SuperPremier challenge title while Red Faith from Kinoya will look to maintain their consistency against the Tamavua Bulls Two team in the Premier Challenge.
The women’s challenge this week will be between Marist Saints and Unix.All games this week will be at the LICI Multi-Purpose Courts and Stadium car park from 8am.Draws Round 2 Week 2Games will be held at the LICI Multipurpose Courts at 8am this Saturday 29th November
