Tour Managers meets with top travel agents to unveil soon to be released Chinese travel guide 2014/2015

Monday 11 August 2014, Beijing China – Tour Managers Fiji organized an exclusive lunch meeting for its top travel agents, Online Travel agents (OTA), and important travel media to unveil its soon to be released Chinese travel guide for 2014/2015.  This event was held at the, one of China’s largest OTA companies with a database of over 250 million users and an estimated of USD 2 billion.  This event is part of Tour Managers 7 city strategy of China focusing on its top travel agents, online and offline beginning on 10 August and ending on 21 August 2014.

Charge De Affairs First Secretary Mr. Josefa Tuima from the Fijian Embassy in Beijing was present and opened the meeting; underling in his opening remarks the importance of Tourism to Fiji and how the Fijian government has continued to strongly support promotion of Fiji in China. China inbound travel to Fiji has continued to grow from strength to strength at a healthy double-digit rate of growth annually. He thanked the travel agents and important partners of Tour Managers present for their continued support whilst also commending Tour Managers for their investment in promoting Fiji in China. Evidence of this investment is the upcoming Chinese Travel Guide 2014/2015.

Tour Managers is working very closely with Tourism Fiji and its core partners in China to provide this important travel guide to consumers and the travel trade. According to the Chinese International Travel Monitor 2014 released by, 53% of Chinese international travelers use travel guides when researching on international travel and making a decision on which destination to travel to.  Tour Managers has recognized this need and upcoming projects with Chinese travel partners will hopefully boost the number of visitors for potential Chinese visitors to Fiji.
