Twelve years of victory tarnished by Jasper Williams High School

Adi Cakobau School’s 12-year title has been handed over, after Jasper Williams High School  of Lautoka won the 2013 Coca Cola Games with 9 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze.

School’s Principal,  Laisa Soko said the girls have really improved from their previous performances.

“We were just trying to improve on last year’s performance but from the preparation that we have been doing, we were expecting to give Adi Cakobau a good run for their money,” she said.

Soko said they did not let the damages done by Cyclone Evan stop them for preparing for the big tournament.

“We were badly effected by cyclone Evan but that did not dampen our spirit for we know that with God we can do anything,” Soko said.

Settling  in second place all the way from Ba, Xavier College with 6 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze while, Adi Cakobau School came in third with 4 Golds, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze

For the boys division Marist defended their title once again with 11 Golds, 7 Silver and 1 Bronze, in second place the boy’s from Queen Victoria secured there win with 6 Golds, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze, in third place with 5 Golds, 6 Silver and 2 bronze was claimed by Xavier College snatching it from all time favorite Suva Grammar Secondary who fall in 4th place with 5 Golds, 5 Silver and 4 bronze.
