Saturday 24 May – Vinod Patel has today announced its support for the Wardens 7’s team with a sponsorship worth up to $7,000. This includes a brand new team outfit for the 2014/2015 season and bonus payments for winning or finishing as runners up in the four major local tournaments; Coral Coast 7s, Uprising 7s, Marist 7s and Nawaka 7s. Vinod Patel will also provide cash reward to the highest try scorer in the team in the four tournaments.
Vinod Patel’s Manager Promotions Mr. Zaheer Hassan states, “We are very proud of our new partnership with the Wardens 7s rugby. The team, without a doubt is one of the best in Fiji that has an outstanding record”.
“The Wardens team has produced great players who have represented their provincial teams and played for the national team,” said Mr. Hassan.
He added that the team had been strengthened with the inclusion of star players such as Waisea Nacugu and the experienced Ilai Tinai.
Mr. Hassan said that they were very much looking forward to supporting the team in future. “You just can’t go wrong with a quality side like Wardens,” said Mr. Hassan.
“These are very exciting times for Vinod Patel as we are undergoing rapid expansion. The sponsorship complements the company’s development in many ways and is a positive step towards developing sports at grass roots level in Fiji,” said Mr. Hassan.
“We have supported the development of sports in Fiji for many years but this is the first time we are sponsoring a rugby team,” said Mr. Hassan.
Wardens Team Manager Mr. Kaliopasa Bogiva said that they were very grateful to Vinod Patel for the timely support. “The team travels to Samoa tomorrow to participate in a 7s tournament and we would like to thank Vinod Patel for coming on board to assist us. I am also grateful to the company for providing incentives to the team,” said Mr. Bogiva.
