The Nadi Bula Festival contestants for 2013 visited the Denarau Golf Racquet Club to close one of Vodafone’s Golf tournament held yearly one week before the Nadi Bula festival.

Present was Vodafone’s Manager Sponsorship and Public Relations Mr. Ligavatu Gukisuva who says that the Bula Festival is a target for Nadi as a tourist destination.

“Bula Festival has a rich and colorful history of promoting Nadi as major tourism destination.  It has established itself as a premier event in the west and the festival has grown in popularity since its inception and after the much celebrated Golden Jubilee in 2010,” he said.

“The week long festival brings about the best of the many different cultures and traditions in our intricately inter-woven multiracial society.  It is an amazing and very satisfying feeling to be part of such a wonderful event that brings together the people of all walks of life in the true spirit of giving,” he added.

The Nadi Bula Festival Association President Mrs Titilia Vuataki says that they are grateful to Vodafone for continuing their major sponsorship.

“We are thankful to Vodafone for being the major sponsor for the Nadi Bula Festival Charitable organization 2013.  This will help in boosting our preparations for the festival.”

“We are also grateful for being invited to this event as it provided us an opportunity to talk with local and international business houses who have shown interest in helping out with the Bula Festival events in years to come and that have established a relationship between the two parties,” she added.

Mr Gukisuva only hopes that the Tourism sector will embrace the festival this year and give an international angle to the festival.

“We are hopeful that more players from the Tourism sector will embrace the Festival this year to add more glitz and glamour and possibly give an international angle to the festival.  This will mean more business for the tourism sector,” he said.  The event was held on the 6th of July, 2013.
