All the way from the interior of Nadroga, Vusama Tigers participated for the first time ever at the 26th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s.

“We invited them to play for the tournament for free, to come and experience and get a field of playing in such big tournament,” he said.

Nabau said the team had never played in tournament as such before.

“They usually just play in bazaar and small tournaments, so this was a big opportunity for their players to showcase their talents,” he said.

Nabau later acknowledge the other teams for making an effort to turn up for the tournament.

“It was amazing to see teams as far as from Vanualevu, interior of Naitasiri, Northland in Tailevu and few from Nadroga for making it here for this two day tournament, as they have played a major role in helping us accomplish our mission, and that is to develop rugby from grass root level,” he said.

Vusama Tigers lost all their pool game matches. Vusama Tigers 7-12 Yalovata, Vusama Tigers 0-36 Nawaka, Vusama Tigers 0-36 Wadigi Babas.
