Weather update:18.12.14

NADRAKI-BANNER.jpg

Generally fine and humid weather prevailed over the west in the past week. Isolated afternoon showers were evident, some with thunder which produced some locally heavy falls.

Monasavu as usual topped the tally with a weekly accumulation of 71mm including 35mm on 14th of December, which was the highest 24 hour accumulation at any of the stations. Temperature and humidity continued to climb which resulted in some very hot days in the west.

Showers and thunderstorms likely to be quite active on Friday before clearing early Saturday. Fine and sunny again beyond that, with just the odd afternoon showers about the main islands.
