Weekly Weather Summary

Dry weather continues over the west this past week with very little rain to report. Isolated showers in the interior of the main island were associated with a series of cloud bands. Ra reported 10mm in passing showers affecting the east of Viti Levu last week as strong trade winds were experienced over the region due to a slow moving high pressure system in the Tasman Sea. There was no rain reported from any other stations.

The dry spell will continue as fine weather and sunny skies persist in a stable trade wind environment. Chances of some isolated afternoon showers later during the week mostly inland, otherwise no sign of any significant rain bearing weather systems affecting the west of Fiji at this time.
