Yadrana and Punjabi tigers take out the competition

The final round of Suva Cricket was played over the weekend with Yadrana taking out the premier grade competition, and the Punjabi Tigers finishing on top in A-grade.Yadrana headed into the final round of Premier Grade competition in first place before cementing there position on top, ending on 116.5 points. The BSP Titans also kept second position after the final round finishing just behind Yadrana on 93.5 points.

Army finished third on 86.5 points, with VICC surging ahead in the final game to finish fourth on 79 points. Rounding out the Premier Grade were Moce 2 (74.5 points), Komo (73.5), Ono-I-Lau (69) and Sarafui on 51 points. Unfortunately for Ono-I-Lau and Sarafui this means relegation from premier grade and replacement by the top two finishers in the A-Grade competition.

In A-Grade, the Punjabi Tigers remained on top of the competition after the last round, finishing on 166 points. Covenant brothers jumped several spots with a big win in the last round to finish second on 123.5 points, making themselves and Punjabi the two teams to be promoted into the premier grade for next year.

GMTM finished strongly in third place on 120.5, followed by SGOS (103), Oniata (101.5), Moce 1 (98.5), BSP Warriors (86.5), Nasaqalau (84.5), Heilala (70), and the Police rounding out the competition on 2 points.

Round two of Suva Cricket will commence from the Janurary 3, 2015 complete with new relegation and promotion team lists.
