20th May, 2014 – Productions Pacific and Digicel have today announced the line-up of judges for Fiji’s first Bollywood SuperStar Search. The group of three judges features Acting CEO of Film Fiji, Mrs. Florence Swamy; Chief Commercial Officer Digicel Pacific, Mr. Awais Malik; and Managing Director Productions Pacific, Mrs. Lailun Khan.
The judges will gain first insight into Fiji’s talent over two auditions with the first audition in Lautoka this Saturday 24th May at the Waterfront Hotel followed by Suva auditions at the Holiday Inn (Banyan Room) on May 31st. The keen eye of this esteemed panel of judges will search out the talents that possess the passion, drive and determination to make it as a top Bollywood star. The SuperStar registration team has been inundated with responses to casting calls and as a result has had to double the number of staff at their call centers.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Film Fiji and judge, Mrs. Florence Swamy said ‘’A fantastic opportunity for all and not just for young performers. Per the announcement, it was also revealed that there will be an additional 10 roles for successful candidates to be cast in. Speaking from the Digicel Fiji Head Office, Farid Mohammed, Chief Financial Offer said “when the call was for one star we were excited, now to find 1 star and ten roles, this makes it an even bigger opportunity for Fiji’s aspiring stars to make a mark in a Bollywood movie and launch their career!”
