(SUVA) 24 November 2014 – The Fiji Rugby Union’s (FRU) countdown and campaign to Rugby
World Cup 2015 begins today. Fiji plays the opening game against host England immediately
after the opening ceremony on Friday 18 September next year at Twickenham, London. Fiji’s
other pool games (Pool A) include Wales, Australia and Uruguay.

The recent Flying Fijians Northern Tour and matches against France, Wales and USA has been
a test run and preparation to Fiji’s RWC2015 campaign.

Fiji meets Wales again in 2015 and Coach John McKee promises the Wales team another
tough match.

Results aside McKee says the Northern Tour team has been together for a short time and
come 2015 the Flying Fijians will be stronger.”The little things letting us down are our
continuity, our connection and our defence sometimes,” McKee told the BBC.

“But that gets better and better the more time you’re together,” he added.
In addition to the local joint promotion with DHL, Official Logistics Partner of Rugby World
Cup 2015 (RWC 2015), will shortly roll out the FRU Road-map to England 2015.

FRU CEO Mr Radrodro Tabualevu says this will include private and public partnership
programs plus an exclusive brand and merchandise campaign to rally support for our the
Flying Fijians.
At the global scale a total of 950,000 Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets were sold in the
September general sale, with record levels of demand for tickets for pool and knock-out stage
matches. England Rugby 2015 received applications for more than 5 million tickets, leading to
demand exceeding supply at every price category for 23 of the 48 matches. Ballots were held
for at least one price point in every one of the 48 matches.

Meanwhile the DHL Match Ball Delivery promotion has received an overwhelming response.
The nationwide competition will result in one lucky Fijian child getting the opportunity to
deliver the official match ball onto the field of play at the opening match of the Tournament.

The prize, which is open to all children between 8-15 years of age, also includes two tickets to
the match, a DHL RWC Merchandise Kit, 2 nights’ accommodation and an official photo to
keep as a memento.
DHL will host an auction to raise money to pay for flights and expenses
for the child and his/her caregiver to travel to England.
