Police has raised concerns about the high numbers of fire cases which are occurring, as of yesterday two reports of fire were reported to police.
Around 9pm last night, a waitress of Eastcourt Restaurant in Victoria Parade was frying potatoes chip which was on the gas stove left unattended while she went to wash dishes.
Another workmate alerted as the kitchen was filled with heavy smoke the by standers and workers managed to turn off the stove before fire brigade came for assistance.
In another incident at Tabulutu Road Matavolivoli a 3 bedroom concrete house of 56 year old was completely destroyed with all its content.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is not known with estimated cost of damage $80,000.00
