Another prestigious award for Sun Mark boss

Dr. Rami Ranger MBE, FRSA, Managing Director of Sun Mark Ltd, wins the prestigious Institute of Directors (IOD) “Director of the Year 2012 – Large Company” for London and the South East at a prestigious awards dinner at the Landmark Hotel in London on the 19th April 2013.

His company has also won the most coveted British business award from Her Majesty the Queen, The Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade, for an unprecedented 4 consecutive years and in the process has made British business history

Sun Mark exports FMCG products to 110 countries with staggering results and sustains thousands of British jobs with its export activities. The company’s sales continue to grow despite the global downturn.

After receiving the award, Rami thanked the judges, his wife Renu and Staff. He also paid tribute to the British sense of tolerance and fair play and that as a result an ordinary immigrant like him could achieve such high accolades. He further said that it is a great honour for anyone to be nominated by such a prestigious panel of judges when the criteria for this award is very high.

The dinner was attended by over 300 fellow Directors. The guests were addressed by Gyles Brandreth with a witty and inspiring after dinner speech. The Channel 4 presenter, Emma Crosby, conducted the evening’s proceedings and the award was presented to Rami by Mr Rodger Broad, Regional Director of the I O D.
