Another ship in town today

Nadi, Fiji Islands. February 3, 2013, 1pm. Cruiseship MV Europa docked at Port Denarau today (Saturday, February 2, 2013).

The cruise liner arrived at 8am with 349 visitors onboard and will depart Nadi bay at 5pm.

Port Denarau Centre Management Limited general manager Aysha Koya said the ship has made its maiden voyage to Fiji.

“We are really excited about all the ships coming to Port Denarau and thank Williams and Goslings for facilitating the first ever visit of MV Europa,” Ms Koya told The Jet.

Nadi has seen a surge in visiting cruise liners making a substantial contribution to the economy.

Six ships called into Port Denarau last month. This month apart from MV Europa, two more cruise liners namely Sun Princess and Pacific Pearl will be also arriving.

Up until August, 15 cruise vessels are expected to call into Port Denarau according to cruise schedules provided by Port Denarau Centre Management Limited.
