The Fiji Bus Operators Association welcomes the drop in fuel prices from 11 April because it gives bus operators much-needed relief after years of rising costs.

“We appreciate the decrease in fuel prices as this will help operators offset operating costs,” Virendra Kewal, president of FBOA, said.

“This decrease will also help operators improve their fleets and standard of service,” Mr Kewal said.

The Commerce Commission announced fuel price decreases across the board over the weekend.

For diesel, the most-used fuel in the bus industry, price per litre dropped by 34 cents to $1.67.
