Projects Abroad Fiji was happy to sponsor the Digicel Bula Festival 2014 Children’s Day which marked the opening of the Festival.

Projects Abroad volunteers organized free games and fun activities for the children of Nadi to enjoy.

Project Coordinator Ms Mere Gaunavou believed it was a great opportunity for the volunteers to interact with the local children.

“We had dancing competition, poster competition, face painting, prizes and even Zumba prepared for the children of Nadi,” she shared.

“The children really enjoyed the day and it was great to see them interacting with the volunteers so easily.   Although the volunteers are from far away countries they were able to share this unique moment of happiness with the children of Fiji,” she added.

Filimoni Vuataki from Namaka Public School says he made a lot of friends during the Children’s Day event.

“I’m so happy that I got to enjoy the games and colourings and even dancing for free.  I made some good friends from other schools and from other countries.  Thank you Projects Abroad,” he shared.

This was one of the many community outreach programmes that Projects Abroad does each month in Fiji.
