The Vodafone Coral Coast Carnival officially started on 19th September after a lapse of six years.
The week long carnival will be held at Lawaqa, Sigatoka.

CEO of the Sigatoka Town Council Tulsi Ram said that the main purpose of the event was to raise funds which would later be used for beatification purposes for the Rugby Town.

“We want to upgrade the towns’ facilities, park and gardens since Sigatoka is the second tourism town in the west,” he said.

Mr. Ram also thanked the business houses and the tourism sector for being supportive.

“The tourism sector is very supportive. We have support from all major resorts in the area,” he said.

The winner will win a return trip to Australia and also qualify for Miss Fiji Pageant to be held later in Nadi.
