Cricket Fiji will conduct open trials for the Under-19 side that will contest the 2015 U19 International Cricket Council’s (ICC) East-Asia Pacific Trophy at Bukhurst Park (also known as the FSC Cricket Ground) in Suva tomorrow.

Fourteen spots will be up for grabs for the team that will travel to Blenheim, New Zealand, in February next year, in a tournament that will also serve as 2016 U19 World Cup Qualification.  Fiji will have a 50% chance at progressing on from the EAP Trophy, with the winner progressing straight through to the World Cup, and the runner-up being invited to contest a World U19 Qualifier.

Trials will commence at 9am tomorrow, and will continue at the same time on Thursday, with players needing to be born in September 1996 or later.  Interested players should bring their cricket gear, whites and lunch to the ground.

The 2015 ICC EAP U19 Trophy will be held from February 25 to March 3.
