A raid conducted in Kinoya last night has resulted in the arrest of a 47 year old following the discovery of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
The raid was conducted at 11pm at the suspects flat where several bundles and parcels of dried leaves believed to be marijuana were discovered.
The suspect is currently in custody at the Central Police Station. The leaves will be sent for further testing as investigations continue.
In another incident a 29 year old is in custody after police discovered a bag containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana last night.
The K-9 team whilst on at around 8.50pm along Laucala Bay Road, stopped and checked the vehicle driven by the suspect and made the discovery.
The suspect is also in custody at the Central Police Station. The leaves will be sent for further testing as investigations continue.
We are once again calling on members of the public not to get involved in such illegal activities. As earlier stated the Fiji Police Force is serious about the war against drugs and such raids will be conducted across the divisions at any given time.
