The new 600 series aircraft is expected offer greater passenger capacity and connectivity in the region as it is equipped with the latest in aviation safety and technology, as well as the award-winning ergonomic cabin design and functionality.

Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO Stefan Pichler said the excitement always builds stronger as they welcome new members in their aircraft family.

“These are exciting times for us. The ATR 72-600 will help bring about enhanced connectivity in our regional network through the development of routes.

“It will also complement our current regional schedules operated by the 72-600, like Apia (Samoa) and Port Vila (Vanuatu) flights.

ATR72-600 is on lease from Ireland-based Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).

The aircraft was officially handed over to Fiji Link General Manager Shaenaz Voss in Toulouse, France before it made way to its new home in Fiji.
